ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The reach out area of the department includes 516,000 patients in Central and Western Jutland. Recently patients from other hospitals of the region have been brought to the department as well, among others, patients with combined small cell carcinoma.
The vision of the regional oncological centre is to create and utilize a professional synergy on a larger scale.
By the help of video conferencing, we today receive sufficient and necessary sparring with colleagues from other hospitals and specialties. With the radiation therapy unit of Aarhus University Hospital located on the lower floor of our great facilities, we are also in close contact to the university hospital. The department also houses a vibrant educational environment and participates in the training of junior doctors as well.
